Congratulations, Peter!
This month, we’re celebrating a major milestone: Peter Stephenson marks 20 years with RISC Advisory.
With a career spanning more than 40 years in the oil and gas industry, including time at major international operators such as BP, Shell, and Woodside, Peter brought a wealth of experience and insight when he joined RISC Advisory.
A Global Career
In a truly global career, Peter has worked on every continent, except Antarctica, bringing his technical expertise to projects around the world. Over the course of his career, he’s been responsible for drilling more than 65 wells, and has played a key role in booking over 100 million barrels of oil and 1 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves.
Some of his career highlights include:
- Providing expert input into successful acquisition due diligence efforts
- Leading well testing programs
- Running a frac job offshore in the Southern North Sea
Peter’s understanding of complex technical challenges and his ability to apply both traditional and innovative solutions have made him a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues alike. His work has spanned due diligence, reserves reporting, mentoring, Independent Technical Specialist Reports, simulation modelling, and more.
Leadership and Legacy
Demonstrating his commitment to industry leadership, Peter co-founded the Asia-Pacific Chapter of the SPEE (Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers) and has acted as Chairman since its inception.
At RISC Advisory, Peter has been a cornerstone of our technical team where his contributions have helped shape our reputation for rigour, reliability, and results.
