Oil and gas field development planning
RISC Advisory specialises in providing oil and gas field development planning (FDP) consulting services to clients in the energy industry. We offer expert advice on assets at all stages of development and size from small onshore fields to large offshore projects.
Deep industry experience brings outstanding capability
RISC brings together experienced geoscience and engineering professionals to conduct detailed field and project development planning, evaluation and modelling to help our clients in their decision-making processes. RISC’s work includes:
- Seismic interpretation, depth conversion and amplitude interpretation
- Petrophysical evaluation integrated with core and well test data
- Production, well test analysis and optimal well design
- Dynamic modelling, simulation, history matching and subsurface development planning
- Probabilistic and deterministic in place and resource evaluation
- Concept selection and field development planning
- Reservoir management including uncertainty management and development optimisation
How are we different?
Each field is unique, possessing different sensitivities and critical success factors. It is not a case of one evaluation process fits all. RISC uses its extensive, multi-project, worldwide experience to help identify the key uncertainties and critical success factors to properly frame the scope of work. This ensures an efficient process where important factors are accurately evaluated and incorporated.
We focus on:
- The key project uncertainties that will affect the concept selection, project value and investment decision
- Developing a fit for purpose, transparent evaluation process
- Using different methods to confirm model results and uncertainty ranges including benchmarking with analogues
- Ensuring an accelerated turn around and competitive total cost
Our reputation and longevity means clients can rely on our studies and access consistent follow-up work as required. Integrating multiple disciplines results in a cohesive analysis that can be tailored to meet company, stakeholder, government and funding requirements.
