LinkedInLast month, RISC Advisory was pleased to participate in the 2025 AEP Conference & Exhibition, held in Brisbane from 26–29 May. As Australia’s largest energy event, the conference brought together industry leaders, policymakers, customers and financiers to explore the evolving energy landscape in Australia and beyond.
RISC Managing Director, Martin Wilkes, played a prominent role throughout the conference, delivering two well-received presentations:
- Energy Transition and Emissions Reductions – Some Inconvenient Truths
- 2024 Development and Production Review
These presentations provided an overview of last year’s development and production while raising meaningful issues around the challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector. In addition to presenting, Martin Wilkes also chaired the Carbon Intensity & Abatement session, facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas on how the industry can continue to reduce its environmental footprint while ensuring reliable energy supply.
Meanwhile, RISC Senior Consultant, Tim Stephens, made a valued contribution to the Technical & Business Program as a Visual Presentation speaker. The presentation featured insights from several delegates, including RISC Principal Advisor, Peter Stephenson, and introduced an engineering toolkit to estimate the CO₂ storage potential of the western Eromanga Basin in Australia.
Our team appreciated the opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing our commitment to responsible energy development. We were encouraged by the collaborative spirit and the shared focus on innovation and energy security.
